The Turquoise River Rapids Poem
By Pamela Storch
Turquoise river raging clear,
Sheer power, nature's flow,
The beauty of the rapids,
What it takes, will surely go,
Accumulate does water not,
It flows with grace and ease,
If driftwood floats along the path,
Its roots are not with trees,
A moving canvas on display,
The river takes its hold,
Removing what might come its way,
From shores and ashes old,
Washing every moment new,
Its power on display,
The life force of the river,
Washes time itself away.
