Song of the Wood Stork Poem

By Pamela Storch

Long ago in ancient times,

In woodlands by the sea,

The wood stork came and made its nest,

For all eternity,

For even if it came and went,

What troubles passed its way,

Return it would for all of time,

As night clears into day,

A kindness like no other,

Is the stork of white return,

For loving kindness is the key,

The lesson truly learn,

A nest can leave; a nest can come,

But rebirth never dies,

And with the soul of time itself,

The stork is wisdom wise.

“Song of the Wood Stork” is a lyrical and spiritual nature poem by Pamela Storch, celebrating the ancient wisdom and gentle symbolism of the wood stork. A tale of timeless return, kindness, and soul rebirth, this poem reflects on the deeper rhythms of nature and life.
