River Boats and Clear Blue Skies Poem
River Boats and Clear Blue Skies
River boats and clear blue skies,
Dawn passes by the day,
The rolling clouds are endless,
Like the trees along the way,
For on the streams and waterways,
A new song will appear,
That fades away the darkness,
Of the weeping willow's fear,
Time passes in an instant,
With the meeting of the chimes,
No more are crashing cymbals,
Sour lemons, bitter limes,
For life is sweet and timeless now,
Within the river's flow,
With waters truly endless,
There is nothing more to know,
And so the ravens of the world,
And owls of the night,
Will nevermore be cycled,
Between endings of the light,
The cycles now have ended,
And the greatest gift of all,
Is seeing now the ocean,
All aboard, the final call.
