Reeds and Flowers by the Pond Poem
Reeds and Flowers by the Pond
Reeds and flowers by the pond,
With water standing still,
Reflections on the ripples light,
The surface sparkles near,
The trees are laughing lonesome,
At the water's deepest edge,
The vibrant colors glimmer,
For the stakes are crystal clear,
Turn the path around at once,
See clearly through the bend,
Remember how the darkened skies,
Were crystal clear as day,
Do not allow the ferns of time,
To dictate now your end,
The weeping willow hastens,
But the phoenix flies away.
