Purple Water Lily Oasis Poem
By Pamela Storch
Purple water lilies,
Their reflections on the pond,
A glimpse into eternity,
Their petals see beyond,
For what is in the water,
But illusion, mirror’s glare,
A wind may come make ripples,
The reflection’s no more there,
For what is it that’s truly lost,
When water’s mirrors close,
And what was it reflected,
What is it the mirror shows?
For purple water lilies,
Stand in sacred essence true,
Although reflections may be lost,
There’s nothing lost of you.
