On the Way to the Sea Poem

A poem titled "On the Way to the Sea" by Pamela Storch describes a journey with vivid imagery of a pathway, changing skies, and reflections on thought and existence. The poem explores themes of nature, perception, and introspection.

On the Way to the Sea

On the way into the sea,
A painted pathway flows,
A cloudscape gains intensity,
As ominous it grows,

For darkened are its shadows cast,
Upon the light blue sky,
Yet neon blues as clear as day,
Ask not, how, when or why,

Like thoughts upon a canvas clear,
Are musings of the mind,
Like shadows cast upon the sky,
With clear blue light behind,

For are you now the doom and gloom,
Afraid of its decay,
Or are you now the canvas,
And the painter, clear as day.
