By the Lake of Many Dreams Poem
By the Lake of Many Dreams
By the lake of many dreams,
A sunrise still at hand,
Beneath the clouds magnificent,
With marshes on the land,
And as the ducks swim swiftly by,
They weave through lilies new,
White pelicans and wood storks,
Grace the shores of waters blue,
Beyond the ripples near and far,
Beyond the waters still,
The roaring of the ocean,
Sets its sights on land to fill,
And as the waves come rolling in,
A simple sovereign song,
Please understand the ocean,
And it’s daylight all day long.
