American Beautyberry Poem

By Pamela Storch

Berries of protection,

Women carry them with grace,

Wards off the outer evils,

Sacred marriage now embrace,

A symbol of abundance,

Generosity and gifts,

For mother nature’s bounty,

Soothes the spirit and uplifts,

A source of nectar for the bees,

A food source for the birds,

Resilient and adaptable,

So are these written words,

America the beautiful,

A beautyberry poem,

And so this berry’s meaning,

Is to now know you are home.

“American Beautyberry Poem” by Pamela Storch explores the symbolism of the vibrant beautyberry plant — a reflection of nature’s protection, abundance, and grace. Through lyrical verses, the poem connects themes of resilience, generosity, and the beauty of finding home within nature’s embrace.
