A Scottish Sea Poem

By Pamela Storch

On the coast of Scotland,

By the vibrant royal sea,

A cloud cascade is hanging,

Over waters blue and free,

The storm-cast cloudy weather,

With the thunder rolling by,

May bring the rain and lightning,

Yet the wisdom keeper's dry,

For when you stay inside the eye,

The centered timeless space,

There's nothing but blue indigo,

In mother love's embrace,

The ocean waves are like a pond,

With playful ripples vast,

For when you are the ocean,

Never mind what spells are cast.

A Scottish Sea by Pamela Storch is a contemplative, poetic meditation on inner calm amid external turbulence. Set on the mystical coast of Scotland, the poem conjures images of a royal blue sea beneath storm-cast skies—while affirming the deep wisdom found in the center of the storm.

Rooted in nature and spirituality, this poem reminds us that in the "eye" of life’s storms, there is peace, love, and the timeless embrace of presence. A reflection on becoming the ocean itself, rising above any spell or storm.
