A Peaceful English Waterway Poem
By Pamela Storch
A peaceful English waterway,
Moored boats along the sides,
A stone bridge in the distance,
Arches over the divides,
For how can people cross the way,
Without a bridge or boat,
A swim might be exciting,
Not unless your bag can float,
For when you understand this scene,
A metaphor surreal,
You understand division,
And how human hearts can heal,
Do not stand only on one side,
But see the purpose true,
A peaceful English waterway,
Reflects and mirrors you.
