Tea Time in England Artwork

Tea Time in England by Pamela Storch is a whimsical, poetic artwork featuring a delightful British tea table complete with pastries, teapots, cups, and floral décor. Paired with a playful poem exploring the differences between British and American spelling, culture, and expressions, this artwork celebrates humor, charm, and the warmth of classic English tea tradition.

Is the Spelling Gray or Grey?

Is the spelling gray or grey,

When traveling all the time,

Oh, what to do in poetry,

When country changes rhyme,

Earl Grey is great for England,

And the flavour’s perfect mate,

The honour, it is truly mine,

Let’s meet at half past eight,

And “bless you” isn’t limited,

To answering a sneeze,

And how much is that?

50 quid?  I’ll take the car park please!

America is cloudy,

And the sky is dark and gray,

The parking lot is crowded,

I am honored, on my way!

The London fog is grey and dark,

It’s gray now in New York,

The flavor of the food is great,

Which hand to hold my fork?

Oh dear, this is a problem,

Whether US or UK,

There must be grammar that’s correct,

For all the Milky Way!
